My interest in Urban Portraits first started back in 2001 when Chris Brown asked me to take some photos for his first book called Bovver. For a location we used under the M32 motorway, by the site of the Bristol Rovers old stadium at Eastville, and the Monte Carlo café at Eastville.
One morning in October last year, I had a phone call from an old friend of mine, Tony Skuse. I had known Tony since the 70’s when I drank in the Maypole in Hanham, from the terraces at Eastville, watching Bristol Rovers, and from Chasers night club in Kingswood. I had not seen or spoke to Tony for a few months since my last visit to the Maypole in Hanham, Bristol, and I knew he was ill with cancer, which I did not know was terminal. So it came as a complete shock to me when he told me he only had a week or two to live, that he was planning his own funeral, from his bed in Southmead Hospital in Bristol.
In early November 2018, we photographed the wedding of Beth & Chris, at Cripps Barn. It was a lovely Autumn day in the beautiful Cotswolds countryside, where Cripps Barn is situated, and also close to the picturesque village of Bibury.
Congratulations to Jan & Andy, whose wedding we recently photographed at Bristol Registry Office in Corn Street. The ceremony was followed by a boat trip around Bristol Harbour, and the reception was held at the River Station.

We recently photographed the 'Achieve' Expo in the beautiful Georgian Spa City of Bath, which was the UK's 1st Health, Wealth and Happiness Expo, held at one of Bath's most prestigious venues, the Assembly Rooms. Achieve is the idea of Martin Roberts, TV and Radio Presenter, Author and contestant on ITV's I'm A Celebrity, and presenter of BBC 1's Homes Under The Hammer. Achieve featured two days of interactive and inspiring talks from top celebrities and leading experts from the fields of nutrition, healthy eating, wealth creation, fitness, mindfulness and motivation.
On a warm August morning, we drove the short distance to the beautiful city of Bath, in Somerset, to photograph a romantic and unique occasion. James had arranged for a special early morning opening of the Roman Baths & Pump Room, for a surprise romantic proposal to his girlfriend Jen.
